JAMEZ — J/92S

Why a test bench.

JAMEZ is a 2008 J/92s, acquired in 2024, chosen for its qualities as a platform: sporty enough for coastal racing, rational enough that a methodical refit makes sense. Not everything aboard is new, and that’s precisely the point — each project becomes an opportunity to test a solution, compare two brands, measure the real gain.

The work proceeds gradually, without haste. Parts are replaced because they deserve it, not for the pleasure of newness. The documentation is kept up to date entry by entry — engine hours, costs, suppliers, references, before/after photos.

The boat is visitable by appointment at Port de La Pichette, in Corseaux. It’s the place to talk hardware in front of the hardware: a Spinlock XTS clutch in hand speaks more than a catalogue photo.

COACHING & TEAM BUILDING

Aboard a racing J/92s.

JAMEZ also serves as the platform for two onboard programmes: technical coaching for crews preparing a race, and a team-cohesion programme for companies that want to work together in a demanding setting. In both cases, participants are active — the boat is the tool, not the backdrop. Per-engagement quoting, tailored to your programme.

Race technical coaching

Bol d’Or, Translémanique, coastal racing: an onboard session to lock in roles, manoeuvres and tuning with the crew. Live case studies on the water, debrief at the end of the session.

  • Onboard roles and chain of communication
  • Manoeuvres: start, gybe, tack, downwind
  • Sail-by-sail tuning according to conditions
  • Written debrief for the crew

Team-cohesion programme

Company, team, foundation: a structured day to learn to manoeuvre together, make decisions under pressure, communicate in a new setting. Technical supervision included.

  • Programme tailored to your team and goals
  • Rotating roles, shared decisions
  • Permanent technical supervision aboard
  • Structured post-session debrief

VISIT

The boat is visitable by appointment.

JAMEZ is moored at Port de La Pichette, in Corseaux. Visits are by appointment — the idea isn’t to walk crowds through, but to have time to talk hardware and programme with those who have a concrete question.

FAQ

Questions fréquentes.

Why a J/92s?

For Lac Léman: 9.2 m, light displacement (~2,100 kg), a performance rig. A versatile format for one-design racing with a crew of 5–7. The J/92s has a real community in Europe and lends itself well to a documented personal refit.

Is JAMEZ a school boat?

No. JAMEZ is a reference sailboat for Blu Estates Marine — a test bench for our recommendations (rigging, parts, methods). For technical coaching or team-building programmes aboard, we offer per-engagement quoting; the dedicated page will open once the administrative steps are finalised.

Can JAMEZ be chartered?

No. JAMEZ is not for charter. We only offer professional services (technical coaching, team building) per engagement, currently being launched.
